Celsius: Load Up On The Pullback

Despite a strong quarter, Celsius Holdings' stock has slumped due in part to a recent stock split, providing a buying opportunity. Demand for Celsius energy drinks remains strong, with potential for international growth to help the company maintain strong growth rates, though rates will decelerate. The stock is priced at a similar valuation multiple to a peer with much lower growth rates. Despite another blockbuster quarter,  Celsius Holdings  ( NASDAQ: CELH ) has slumped from substantially higher levels back in September. The recent stock split has apparently provided fuel for stock sales. My  investment thesis  remains ultra Bullish on the  energy drink company on this dip. Celsius: Early Days Still

Image
Update - Sept. 22, 2023 Celsius has been hit hard following the run to $200. Unclear what is causing the sell off other than the September swoon in growth stocks. The stock appears set to close the gap to $150 providing a premium entry point.  Original article posted on Aug. 23.  Celsius Holdings is trading at all-time highs but is still not expensive, with plenty of growth potential from international expansion. Sales growth accelerated in Q2'23, reaching a new quarterly record high of $326 million. The stock only trades at an EV/S multiple of 8x, similar to slower growing energy drink peer. Celsius: Wanted Dip (Rating Upgrade)

Image
This idea was discussed in more depth with members of my private investing community, Out Fox The Street.  Learn More »   Updated - May 27, 2023 Celsius appears set to test whether the gap in the chart will close. The quarterly results were good enough for the stock to keep running, but the pause now could turn into a route. The stock back below $110 would make for another tasty buy.  Updated - May 10, 2023 Huge quarter by Celsius. The chart was a huge tell of the bullish setup going into Q1 and the stock appears off to the races.  The Boca Raton-based beverage company reported $260M in revenue for the quarter, nearly double for the quarter, nearly double the figure notched in the prior year and reaching a record for the company. Gross profit for the first quarter jumped more than 100% YoY to $114M while $0.40 in EPS more than doubled the consensus estimates of $0.19.  Updated - Apr. 26, 2023 Looks like a low was set with higher lows here. Celsius could eas...

SodaStream: Plenty of Growth Left

As with any Israeli company, the threat of war in the Middle East always causes investors to pause on investments in the region. Recent threats of military action in neighbor Syria only add to those fears. Possibly this is part of the reason that, despite all the positive news, SodaStream ( NASDAQ: SODA     ) continues to trade at market low multiples, even compared to slower growing Green Mountain Coffee Roasters ( NASDAQ: GMCR     ) and Monster Beverage ( NASDAQ: MNST     ) . While threats of war probably won't ever go away, the market for home beverage machines has plenty of catalysts to reach its goal of $1 billion in revenue by 2016. Read the full article here . StockTwits 50: The Big Dogs

Every Saturday the StockTwits 50 report is released highlighting stocks with improving fundamentals and strong technical setups for the next trading week. Last week, Stone Fox Capital wrote an  article  on the underfollowed stocks in the StockTwits 50 report. The hope was to find stocks highlighted by the report that were cheap. The original conclusion was that the stocks didn't provide compelling valuations even though the sophisticated Seeking Alpha crowd doesn't follow them. With this weeks  report , the focus shifted to reviewing the bigger names on this list to see if maybe an advantage existed in companies where inclusion in such a publication would not move the price of the stocks. The Big Dogs Within the top 10 ranking this week were  Hansen Natural ( MNST ) ,  Under Armour ( UA ) ,  Expedia ( EXPE ) ,  3D Systems ( DDD ) , and  Whole Foods Market ( WFM ) . Other than 3D Systems, all of these stocks have market caps larger than $5B...

The Benefits Of Fast Growing Beverage Makers Over Coca-Cola

A few days back, an interesting debate took place over whether investing in Coca-Cola (KO) or gold was a better long-term investment. Jim Grant made the point that gold had been the better investment since 1996, against an argument by Warren Buffett. Grant suggested that Coca-Cola was now the better option. That comment just about shocked me as he pointed out that it has a current PE of 19. Slow growing Coca-Cola with a $160B market cap is a value? Read the full article at Seeking Alpha.
