Nu Holdings: Buy Regardless Of The Brazilian Election Results

Update - Oct. 27, 2026

Lulu winning the Brazilian election could present a good dip buying opportunity. Sounds like the election was pure chaos, so be careful rushing in to Nu. The stock appears to have hit a double bottom around $12.

-With 100% of the vote counted, Brazil’s electoral court announced that the soon to be 81-year-old Lula had a lead of nearly 4.4 million votes - 51.8% of the total vote - over opponent Flávio Bolsonaro. The announcement capped an evening of chaos at polling places across Brazil, following a last-minute decision to extend voting by two hours. That decision by a Supreme Court justice may trigger legal action by Bolsonaro.

  • Nu Holdings Ltd. remains maintains impressive growth, strong financials, and expansion into the U.S. market is a major catalyst.
  • Recent Brazilian election results provide potential pro-business tailwinds, but policy implementation remains uncertain.
  • NU trades at roughly 15x 2027 EPS targets, with 30% annual EPS growth forecasted, yet market skepticism persists.
  • I see NU as a long-term growth story, favoring breakouts above $16 or dips to $12 for entry points.
Nu Holdings Ltd. (NU) traded at recent incredible lows despite impressive growth and opportunities to expand into bigger markets. The Brazilian fintech now has potential tailwinds from economic and political shifts in their home country. My investment thesis remains ultra Bullish on the stock, though $16 has been recent resistance for Nu Holdings.
